A Tale of Two Love Stories: Why This Bride Loves Salon One 12
A strong woman. Independent, working mother. Dependable friend and sister. They don’t just call her Cindy, “they call me Cindy De Leon.” She had been patiently waiting for the right man to steal her heart.
After raising her son who is now in the Navy and the one to walk her down the aisle, no man could come close to winning her heart. After 3 years of asking for her hand, Edward Espinoza convinced Cindy De Leon that he was the one she was waiting for. “When he took care of me after a major surgery, that's when I knew," Cindy said. "I don't want to loose this man. I want to grow old with him.”
We were lucky enough to sit in as Cindy and her wedding party got ready for the big day. We watched as the stylists at Salon One 12 transformed Cindy's and her wedding party's hair into works of art.
"We just don't have salons like this in Kyle," Cindy, a Kyle resident, whispered to us as she prepared for her long awaited wedding. "I discovered Rebecca a year ago and I just can't see myself going anywhere else."
Rebecca Ojeda, owner of Salon One 12, has been in the industry for over 22 years and she does it all, though her greatest love is cutting hair. She takes great pride in her work and it carries over to her team, aka #budaglamsquad.
Not only does Salon One 12 offer a traditional cut and color, but what makes them perfect for your big day is their unique blow-dry bar where you can get a complete transformation with a shampoo, blow-out, style, and make-up application all served with a glass wine.
The #budaglamsquad that helped Cindy and her #weddingsquad get ready for her ceremony includes, Gabrielle Morgan (below, left), whose expertise is in blow-dry bar services like blow-outs and styling hair for weddings and special occasions, and Sarah Garsez (below, right), who specializes is make-up application and can help you get out those wedding day jitters with her relaxing scalp massage and shampoo techniques.
Cindy and Laura, the maid of honor, giggle as they agree you don’t have to go to Austin to get top quality service and atmosphere. A smiling bride is indication enough of the beautiful work and care they put in at Salon One 12.
“Oh I love it here! I love it,” Stephanie, sister of the bride, raved about the atmosphere as stylist Gabrielle twists a curl in her hair.
On the night of Cindy and Edward's wedding, imagine an old time saloon with Rick Trevino over the speakers singing the words, “I only feel like I feel with you and nobody else, and I only want to be with you and be myself.” The beautiful couple in the center of the dance floor swaying to their song. You can't help but smile, because the story that led them to this beautiful moment is seven years in the making.
The night of the wedding, Cindy and Edward opened a bottle of Vermentino saved from their first date at a winery. “I guess deep down, I knew I was going to marry him."
